I don't disagree with the concept of using courts to resolve many types of disputes, including the inevitable maneuvering that will occur when an election is a virtual tie. But the image of the Clinton/Gore Nazi's dropping a regiment of trial lawyers on Florida at sundown of election day, and of that regiment going into action at first light on E+1, is going to survive all other images from this episode. It will, in the long run, scar the career of Al Gore, and very possibly his party also...
