Neal: Thanks for your reply.It made things easier to understand. Q. How about TXCC in relation to PMC Sierra as a competitor. Your comments would be greatly appreciated. As far as Harris + Jeffries is concerned it should be a plus- if in fact, it allows their customers "friendlier" customization using HJ software. I know that some vendors allow use of standard software for RISC based chips for telecom apps. I do not know the relative advantages or disadvantages of the two approaches- in relation to customer acceptance. I think the Cisco related announcement may prove to be more significant - since Ascend, which may still be an important TXCC customer did make its own chip related acquisition. Did it not???
