Pearly, I jumped in and bought a bunch of stuff today; maybe I will regret it in a day or two, we will see won't we? I believe that some sort of election rally is a given and I guess this is it. Of course I will be out quicker than I got in (unless we have a power failure or something that would prevent me selling) if things don't look right.

I watched Greenspan today and I think this is the first time I have EVER heard the man speak in such a simple and straightforward manner; even an econ dummie like me could see that his dissertation was CLEARLY bullish.

You know I am partial to conspiracies and I think I smell one here; there have been rumors around for years that there is some animosity between Greenspan and the Bush family, maybe related to the fact that the former did nothing to help the latter in the 1992 election. It could be that ole' Greenspan is giving Shrub a little "inaugration" present a few weeks early; he is speaking in a way that will rally the market early so that it will crash big about the time the Shrub takes office. It is known that Greenspan is worried about big tax cuts and other parts of the Shrubery agenda and what would be a better way to get him off to a "defensive" start.

Greenspan is a repub but at the top level these repubs have as many differences with each other as they do with the dems; they just don't show it in front of the boobery. And if you just watch the boobery you would think the rightwingers are all of single mind but I can tell you that at the top, the leadership level, this is not the case; there are as many factions as there are states in the union.
