Hey!

I even mean it!

I think it is important to be ethical
and certainly to improve the public's
view of our profession. Stunts like the
one Boies pulled does nothing to foster
respect for lawyers or confidence in
the system.

I tried a case a number of years ago
where the judge literally said to the
lawyers, let the perjury begin
before he brought in the jury. He thought
he was making a cute joke, but I didn't
find it a bit funny.*

*he was sure right about our opponent's testimony, though....
