So I´m constantly critical of all things American, Auntie?

Its time to look up the sunny side of the States then. Here are my top six good things in the US:

1) Apple pie. Never criticised an apple pie once. The flat ones without the crust are great, anyone who likes the thick ones is a moron.

2) Samuel Adams beer (several varieties). This is good stuff really. The more the better. Bad news is that in the long run the Q longs have to drink Schliz because it is cheaper and you get it in a gas station where you don´t have to wear a shirt.

3) Gringas. American women are close to my heart. Its true that they tend to be overweight and have hairs like electrocuted floor mops, but they are a delightful lot. Really. At least they shave their legs.

4) Diamondhead. Here is a straight home grown American boy if anyone. Righteous whenever real of imagined spelling errors occur. He is also very frank about his fixation on other people´s gas problems, especially that one with his aunt. Many a lesser person would be less open with such an inclination.

5) Harley-Davidsons. I really like the concept. I ended up buying a Yamaha Royal Star myself, for quality reasons, but I like the Harleys and I like the feeling of superiority when I see someone riding the paint shaker.

6) I also like travelling with the Americans. They, unlike the Uzbeks, are remotely coherent, on occasion, and unlike the Germans they are fun to be with. And if something goes wrong they get shot first.

I hope this puts end to all the anti-American rumours.
