Demand for 1GHZ and faster processors that work with inexpensive RAM and cost ~$30 to manufacture will continue to be just fine for the next two quarters. After that, AMD needs Palamino etc. and lots of cheap DDR motherboards - which I think they'll have.

By early 2001, they need a high speed 64 bit processor that is inexpensive to manufacture and works with inexpensive memory - and they expect to have that, as well.

If AMD can execute its roadmap, which is a much easier one to deal with than Intel's, AMD will do well.
