(NASDAQ: SNWL - news), the leading provider of Internet security solutions for broadband access customers in the small to medium-size enterprise (SME) sector, today announced its expansion into enterprise and e-commerce markets through the introduction of an enhanced line of enterprise-class Internet security appliances and services.

The SonicWALL PRO-VX Internet Security Appliance is a rack-mount device that provides a comprehensive Internet security solution by combining ICSA certified firewall protection with high throughput 3DES VPN encryption for up to 1,000 remote users or sites. Support is also provided for value added security services such as virus protection, user authentication and content filtering. Enhancements to the PRO-VX include:
High-Availability: the High Availability option allows two PRO-VX appliances to be configured as a redundant pair, ensuring firewall fault-tolerance for the enterprise. Comprehensive reporting: SonicWALL ViewPoint is a graphical reporting tool that provides both real-time and historical reports of network activity to allow network administrators to more effectively monitor areas such as VPN and user activity, bandwidth usage and external attacks.
