Gemini:

Every one of the items listed below has been reported this year, from Florida. The question of the "felon" list was reported this week by a major news weekly, the issue of antiquated voting machines was reported just last night on MSNBC. Why do you think the Justice Dept is getting involved? Are you suggesting that Blacks have always enjoyed equal access to the voting booth throughout the South? Get real. Are you suggesting that there is no such law allowing translation assistance in the voting booth? Are you suggesting that poll workers can deny anyone access to the ballot without providing a lawful reason. Maybe you are suggesting that all these cases involved illegal aliens. If so, why would they bring themselves to the attention of the Justice Dept?

And BTW, I can supply you with the name, email address and phone number of a witness to some of these events.Wanna try again?

-police intimidation of voters around polling places
-poll workers demanding picture ID, Voter ID cards and asking other personal questions not authorized by law, using any pretext to deny voting
-translators being denied access to the polling booth with non-english speaking citizens even after showing copies of the law permitting this
-journalists being threatened with arrest while documenting these activities
-poll workers refusing to offer any written documentation of their refusals(also against the law)
-ballot boxes impounded by police as "evidence" and not counted
-poll workers claiming voters were on a "felon" list(the state of Florida put 12000 people on that list who had no criminal record)
-black precincts still using the oldest voting machines with the highest error rates(higher even than Palm Beach county)insuring that black votes, through no fault of the voter, will not be counted.
