kas, per my posts last week, I was buying the optical companies. Today I was selling some of those (and my NTAP unfortunately). I did not want to get caught in an afternoon decline in the event that we had one. I still have JDSU, GLW, MRVC and GMST. I bought some GSPN this morning but sold it late in the day. the chips were surprisingly strong today in light of the Xilinx and Altera news this week. They have come down so far that they were due for a bounce. I would rather see a pull back before buying them again for now. If we get a pop in the morning, I plan to exit the remainder of my positions and watch. The LTBH strategy is not interesting to me other than for a small part of my portfolio at this point. The volatility is unbelievable as you know.

I might buy some of those that were left out of the party today, like a CAMP or more GMST if the morning futures look OK. Some of the wirelss plays look like they have come up a bit fast (RFMD and TQNT for instance). Though I don't usually take short positions, they may be targets.

What are your thoughts on good targets for a short term follow through?
