you haven't read what i wrote: i said "significant" insider buying..not buying 500 shares. i am talking of insiders putting big amounts of money on the line, like e.g. the CEO of MO when he bought stock for over $20m. at prices slightly above $20. that can hardly be called a PR exercise, and besides MO's performance since then speaks for itself. admittedly this is rare in tech...but it DOES happen at times, and imo one can set one's sights a little lower as to the amounts that constitute significant buying.
and i agree of course that a dot-coma CEO buying 500 shares after having dumped millions is not inspiring confidence.
