Dear Lawdog: I voted for Bush cause I actually feel he is the better candidate for this Country and this time in our cycle. When I had made up my mind I really didnt have anything in particular against Gore, I just felt that his combative attitude and efforts to pit Rich against Poor, whites against blacks, Christians against Jews and the like would be bad for America. Had nothing to do with his programs as we all know Congress will decide nearly everything and Congress in general has become pretty mainstream. I actually met Bush once and even though it was for a short time (15 minutes or so) I immediately liked him (this was LONG before any thought existed of him running for President). I believe that if anyone can bring Americans back together as a TEAM it will be Bush. Gore, in my opinion at least, has proven over and over and particularly in his latest antics that he would not only continue the Clinton legacy of divide and conquer but carry it to new heights. JDN
