I was scared before and am euphoric now

Sounds as if you're very much in touch with the very natural feelings that are probably typical of most of us.

It's my observation that most veteran successful investors have learned to deal effectively with these feelings by developing a specific investing strategy and sticking to it. They have their ups and downs because of the vagaries of the market, but over the long haul, they don't seem to fall prey to making mistakes in the temporary emotional situations of fear and euphoria. We're fortunate to have here on SI a number of those investors (Voltaire, Uncle Frank, Mike Buckley, Unclewest and others) who share with us their investment strategies and their buys and sells, etc.
