Wrong! I'd rather have the $8,000 for each of those years I've been sending huge chunks of cash to Ottawa, as well as the rewards from it's investment for all those years too. By my calculations, using a modest interest rate of 5% for over twenty years, $78,545.17 of my money has been flushed down Ottawa toilets. I listed some of the things I received.

P.S. This morning's Globe&Mail has a young woman receiving vaccination for influenza. Reading the caption, I learned she is a performer/dancer in Toronto, and the gentleman giving her the inoculation was Dr. S... (Something-or- other) That's correct! A DOCTOR giving the shot! Now my point: If Canada doesn't have various levels of health care, why wasn't this dancer and her fellow performers joining the end of a very long line in some smelly school gym, awaiting immunization delivered by an overworked public-health nurse? [End of (this) rant]
