PNG gas contracts nearly wrapped up The Courier-Mail (Queensland), December 6 BY BELINDA TASKER The commercial contracts for the Papua New Guinea (PNG) to Queensland gas pipeline are expected to be completed soon. On 5 December 2000, Oil Search managing director, Peter Botten, said agreements with utility customers such as Ergon Energy and Energex in Queensland should be completed by late December 2000. Producers for the gas pipeline include Orogen Minerals, Oil Search, Santos, Chevron Australia, and ExxonMobile. While each company holds a different stake, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission will allow them to sell the gas jointly.
