I think the real reason the Bush side did not ask for recounts elsewhere may be because of the situation with overvotes. These are votes where there are two votes for President, thereby voiding the ballot.

There are suggestions of deliberate fraud in the case of overvotes, at least that is what some are suggesting.
If it were fraud of that magnitude, then perhaps a revote would be the remedy. Given the Nader situation, that would not be advisable for Bush.

Of course, at this point, I bet half the state would have changed its vote if it could. :-)

The point of this being that I wouldn't underestimate Bush's lawyers or overstate the efficacy of those selected by Gore.

I think Gore's lawyers did the obvious. If I'm correct about the overall situation, the Bush lawyers set their strategy for the big picture.

And last time I looked, the Bush team seems to be winning more with the courts....:-) It's that tortoise and hare thingie...
