Check out this article about Cisco, the all optical network, and how vendors are so desperate to get the network built out now. totaltele.com The big point though, is this network standard Cisco is trying to develop, no matter whose standard prevails it pretty much involves AVNX or the whole thing pretty much stops working, or at least works a lot less well.
