Her decision will either be rooted in law, or in politics.

Probably both. If she blatantly disregards legal precedence and issues a judgement that will be tossed on appeal, she will be screwing her own political future. I trust that she's smart enough not to fall on Al Gores sword. But, then again, who knows? In the end it won't matter, because the fact is that ultimately Gore cannot win under any circumstances. The Dems may hate this, but it's the result of the way the rules were layed out. C'est la vie....
