Hi, I should really double check this, but somewhere else I read that CMGI has not yet sold its Lycos/Terra stake, but plans to do so.

CMGI is very oversold. I understand that major mistakes have been made, but I also know that AltaVista (to take one example) is very serious about what they are doing, and have a bright future ahead of them including reaching profitability in a few months. Market conditions will likely allow an IPO in 2001 in Europe and 2002 in North America. These liquidity events still are a key to CMGI of course, hence a major risk, but when they do occur they are sweet.

Reading elsewhere, it also seems they have shares in eBay (sold Half.com).

So basically their fortunes are tied to this tech market, including some leaders (not complete junk) they own.

And very much tied to making intelligent investments going forward. Since they have shut down many losing propositions I see no reason to doubt that they are being strategic in their role as an incubator / investor.

$7.50 per share IN CASH!!!
