Doug, Your system sounds interesting, but I'm not sure I understand how it works. In particular, if there is no pattern to speak of at the time of the "breakout" then I am not sure what quantifies a breakout. A combination of volume and price?? Or is it solely based on the indicators? Also, I probably use the word "TA" where I was really talking only about charting. While I am interested in all forms of TA, it is chart reading that I want to "quantify". Mike
