Armstrong Holdings owner of Armstrong World Industries an employer of 18,000 worldwide with headquarters in my county employing over 3000 here filed for bankruptcy today.
Seems lawsuits over asbestos related products produced over 40 years ago are bringing the company to it's knees.
The stock is hovering around $1.00 having hit $90 several years ago. Retirees most of whom are dependant on the company for their retirement will lose their nest eggs.

Asbestos was not known to be a health factor years ago. Ironically the government was one of the large users of these products giving specifications to the company for manufacture.
I wonder if Attorney Boies with Janet Reno's help can represent the government and help put them completely out of business.
