What a frail line of reasoning!!

Name one company that has signed a 3G license with Qualcomm that has not paid Qualcomm royalties for cdmaOne. I can't find a single company in the list of CDMA2000/WCDMA licensees that have not already paid Qualcomm royalties for cdmaOne handsets or infrastructure. Even Nokia has agreed to pay Qualcomm royalties for cdmaOne and CDMA2000. Ericsson has agreed to pay Qualcomm equal royalties for 3G regardless of the mode.

Why would you fork over millions of dollars for a 3G license if you had no intention of using it??
