IMHO, the idea of the present stock price being out of reach of
anybody is pretty silly...who cares about non-board lots anymore?
I usually buy odd-lots and have never been charged a dime extra.

A stock split is a weird psychological event with no real impact.
People may say that the price runs up afterwards, but conveniently
ignore exceptions to that "rule".

As for short-term price fluctuations...look at COMS, NN, CSCO, etc
over the last month. Heck, look at the whole market. NT is a great
company, and like all the others is rising steeply. Just the market
changing it's mind, because the average investor has suddenly
decided that the average investor is getting bullish again.

Buy companies, not stocks...then ignore the noise along the way.
That's what I think anyway.
