re: "worst quarter in a decade..." The original source of that rumor:
Barrett was in a coffee shop and reached into his pocket to pay for the coffee. He pulled out some change and in his hand was a 1990 quarter that was severely mangled. He said "that the ugliest 10 year old quarter I've ever seen!" A fellow in the coffee shop (who happend to be a broker) overheard the part of that he wanted to, and got on his cell phone and......the rest is history.

that's how the rumor was started.

(just kidding, of course)
