OT:Scumbria on seminolegate The apparent story on the surface was that the republican Supervisor of elections working under shadows saw a bunch of GOP ballot applications with missing information. She apparently secretly called a GOP hack to come fix the problem and discreetly threw away similar DEM absentee ballot applications. If the above story was true, then this is completely reprehensible and should be punished. Perhaps Bush should even pay the ultimate price by losing the presidency. BUT... I was curious if this was a case of total fraud. Here's what apparently happened from CNN. Cast of characters: Mr X : Mysterious GOP political hack Mr Z : reporter on radio in seminole county. Sandra Goard : Supervisor of elections in Seminole. 1. FL GOP printed the absentee ballot applications. 2. FL GOP screwed up by not filling in the voter id no before sending them out. This field is normally filled out before the voter fills in the rest of the application! DEMs did not screw up their forms, showing they're much better with computers. 3. Sandra Goard found thousands of ballot applications with the missing info. 4. Mr Z from a radio station, as part of election coverage discovered these problem applications and reported this on their radio show around Oct 16th long before the election. 5. Mr X from GOP calls up Sandra Goard asking to fix the applications. Sandra Goard says yes. Mysterious GOP hacks showed up and did their dirty deed. Sandra Goard did not inform the DEMs and give them the same opportunity to fix potential problem ballots. BUT! The GOP had the ballot applications mailed from the voters directly to the ballot application office while the DEMs were much smarter and had the applications mailed from the voters to the DEM offices first before they were delivered to the ballot application office. 6. Sandra Goard calls up Mr Z. at the radio station to tell him that the problem with the application was fixed. 7. Mr Z from the radio station reported on radio in their continuing election coverage that the problem ballot applications were fixed by the GOP. 8. Noone said anything. Noone filed a complaint. 9. The election on Nov7th happened and the rest is history. 10. Seminolegate broke out. But the above could be fabricated, truth is so hard to come by nowadays. --- Remedy : --- 1. Sandra Goard should be roasted over coals? --- 2. Throw out all 15000 or 2000 ballots? SbH
