Although the E&Ps that I own are priced for way sub-$3 gas, I'm afraid I can't disagree with you. Unless the controlled price is under, say $2, I'll be there to buy more of them out of the tank. There may be more important things that will ultimately "tank" if regulators take too aggressive an approach in this respect, IMO.

Hopefully, we will have CA as an object lesson on the "virtues" of price controls by then and cooler heads can prevail.

I too am worried about a hard landing for sure. But if that happens, I'd still much rather be invested in energy as opposed to much of the other crap out there.
