Howard, your stoicism is as inspiring as your .. how should I put this ... "highly speculative reports" on Quidel. We all got hit completely unprepared with this news of a lawsuit. I share your frustration, but have to remind myself that life's bitch; sh*t happens; you work, you pay taxes, and then you die slowly and painfully in some nursing home. Hey, at least you have your health, right? Anyway, Quidel is in it for the long term and, like any successful enterprise, is looking past the next few quarters to the next few decades. The outcome of this lawsuit could very well set the course for the whole company and it's important for them to think long-term and do it right. I suggest you sit back, make up more funny stories, write some poems, and hope for good news.
