Bill, there are simply no applications (mass production) that can justify $75,000 per Kg, it is a research curiosity nothing more, IMHO. Even if the cost was brought down to the cost of GaAs (about $500/kg), the gains due to better thermal conductivity would not justify that cost for mass produced chips. Pure Si cost around $75/kg (before it is turned to wafers).
