Pure speculation, but looking at a product life cycle I wouldn't be surprised by the tie rate. The Jaz product is an ideal solution for graphics, multimedia, etc.. professionals - the innovator, early adopter targets. The amount of space that the files these users create is enormous, so the need for multi gigs of fast on-line, or near-line storage is essential.

These power users will always need multiple disks to satisfy their hunger. But, in the long term as the product moves to the masses the tie rate will most likely average down. I would suspect somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 to 1. Still a number that provides a nice steady revenue stream.
