Reading some of the Qualcomm stuff, It looks to me like their efforts are in distribution technology, not exibition technology. From what I've learned from my Hollywood techie friends, the distribution issues are immense. It costs several thousand dollars for each film print of a movie, and piracy is rampant. Digital solves those issues because of encryption, but the jury is out whether that will be done by DVD, satellite, land lines, or some combination.
