NYSE says Oakley declines comment on shrs

NEW YORK, May 29 (Reuter) - The New York Stock Exchange said on Thursday that Oakley Inc declined to comment on its share activity today after the exchange requested a statement about any developments that would account for the increase in its share price.

Oakley's shares surged 1-5/8 to close at 11-7/8 on 2,158,000 shares of
volume.
