Every report I've seen shows PCs selling at a nice clip, not particularly rip-roaring, but at least good.
When you consider some of the growth in years past was due to those "free PC" companies, or really low cost machines (emachines?), it's no surprise this year is weaker. It's called flight to quality.

Compaq has a quality name, good service (everyone I know with Gateway has complained about their service...and I can't stand Dell just based on the laptop the office gave me), and a broad range of products BEYOND the PC.

CPQ can't stay at these levels for long. It's too undervalued.
