Gum Tech ran about 100 television advertisements for Zicam during the period 9 Oct - 10 Nov. They ran 15 and 30 second ads on the following network shows:

ABC:
World News This Morning, M-F 6:00-7:00 am
Good Morning America, M-F 7:00-9:00 am

CBS:
Morning News, M-F 5:00-7:00 am
Early Show, M-F 7:00-9:00 am
Late Show with David Letterman, M-F 11:30-12:30 pm
Late Late Show, M-F 12:30-1:30 am

NBC:
Today, M-F 7:00-10:00 am
Tonight Show with Jay Leno, M-F 11:30-12:30 am
Conan, M-F 12:30-1:30 am

I was told that most companies pull back their advertising of cold remedies during this particular period, and start up again in few weeks. Come to think of it, I haven't seen very many ads for any cold remedies lately, although I saw some a few weeks ago. Zicam got a lot of exposure during the election. That's one good thing about all the controversy over recounting votes. More people tuned into the news and no doubt saw ads for Zicam. They also quickly adapted to the PPA issue, as someone reported seeing an ad on TV that noted Zicam did not contain PPA. Some people have also reported seeing LCD displays at the point of sale that cycle through different comments on Zicam, one of which says clinically proven to reduce the duration of cold symptoms by 75%, or something to that effect. Some retailers have included Zicam in their weekly newspaper insert.

As Mike noted, they also advertised on Howard Stern, People magazine, TV Guide, and a few cable channels. There may have been other ads, but that's all that I can think of right now. Most CVS stores do carry Zicam. I don't know why the one or two stores in Bob T's area don't have it, but I don't think it's a big deal considering the number of stores that do have it.
