I agree, mistakes must be corrected and you are obviously a mistake.

>>Republicans badgered those manually counting ballots into changing the criteria of which ones to count, then complained that the rules changed.

Wrong. Dems changed the rules and still the Gore/Loserman team sued them to force them to create more "votes" under a looser non-standard when it appeared that the Dem's repeated efforts at vote mining would fall short.

>>And Republicans hollered and hollered about absentee ballots (always, of course, lumping them all together as being military in their spin) until they got the rules changed!

Wrong. Dems lied repeatedly when they said they wanted all votes to be counted. They fought to exclude military votes and are fighting to exclude valid absentee ballots. Federal law is supreme and it appears that the military votes are valid under Federal law and that it would be illegal to exclude the absentee vote in question.

The bottom line is that Dems didn't want votes to be counted, they wanted dimples in Dem counties to be counted as votes. There is no legal authority in FL for doing so.

...To defend the preposterous notion that such an indentation is a valid vote, the Gore lawyers cited a case in Illinois where such votes had been allowed in a recount. Surprise, surprise, two days later, the Chicago Tribune ran a story showing that that was simply untrue. Those dimpled ballots had never been ruled valid in such a case. The next day the Washington Post showed that such ballots had almost never been included as valid votes in any election in the country with the exception of a case in Massachusetts where the ballots had been spoiled by rain....
