Well, I think Bush should fight hard but fair. The problem I have with Gore is not so much the contest as his message. By asserting the disingenous and factually inaccurate premise that not all the votes have been counted and refusing to acknowledge that every election has some ballots which have no votes in particular races, Gore's message has the effect of delegitimizing a Bush Presidency, even if he is ultimately successful. I think Bush, for all the hypocrisy on the Repub side has well has been much more measured in his statements along these lines. JLA
