TO ALL:
if anyone is listening to cnbc this am, you can easily see why a tech investor has been decimated this year. The fud is a mile high, and the outlook is no more than weeks out. They are discussing that cable has "won" the battle with dsl.
This is unreal. The problem is this now: you may have the exact companies that will win there relative areas, and you may be buying them now when they are cheap. But until enough other folks realize you are right, you will be wrong. And the world is dominated by fools right now.
Did you hear CRAMER say lu is gspn biggest customer:
GlobeSpan, Inc.
GlobeSpan helps data shake a leg down the DSL trail. Its integrated circuits -- incorporated into modem-related digital subscriber line (DSL) equipment -- speed data transmissions over existing copper wire telephone networks. GlobeSpan's chips offer asymmetric, high-bit-rate, multi-rate, rate adaptive, and single-line DSL technologies. They also contain microprocessors and software set data transmission rates. GlobeSpan, which emerged from Lucent Technologies' 1996 spin-off of AT&T Paradyne, outsources its production primarily to Lucent. Customers include Cisco (42% of sales), Lucent (7%), and Ascom Hasler (6%). Texas Pacific Group owns 40% of GlobeSpan.
