Preliminary screen results: While it's too early too pick stocks, much less to buy them, I'll go ahead and do a screen to identify some potential candidates for later in December. The screen is described here. Results in the next post.

The screen was done using MSN's free tool, which uses MarketGuide data:
moneycentral.msn.com

Criteria were:

30 M < market cap < 4 billion   -- in the end, I'll choose ? 50% of my stocks with market cap >$200 M
% institutional ownership < 50%
12 mo RS low as possible        -- low RS
6 mo RS low as possible
3 mo RS low as possible
price/book < 4                  -- I prefer value stocks
cash flow positive  
price > 1.5                     -- avoid nasdaq delistings
