If that was a passenger chopper, it may well have had door locks, that need some very positive action to open, like an airliner. But an exploration helicopter is made to allow open door activity in flight. There was some mention of a rear door.In addition in Indo who knows how the regs are employed, maybe all the interlocks are routinely defeated to allow ease of access, and ejection. Very gray area, if he hides well we will never know.
