I hope you are right, but I dont think that the worst is over. In a bear market good news is ignored, and bad news is factored in multiple times. Craig Barret should not have given the interview earlier this week. Now is credibility is damaged forever. Amy J was right that the CEO of a large company cannot be relied upon for an accurate read of short term sales trends. But Craig had to know about order cancellations, even when he was travelling! I am sure that he was getting updates from his VP Sales via E-Mail. He obviously could not have calculated the exact shortfall since he was on the road.If he could not give new guidance he should have kept mum, instead of repeating the old guidance.
