First, the stocking of the drug store shelves is not part of what GUMM does -- they are not like Frito-Lay --- they don't deliver product and stock the shelves. Ordering product and stocking the shelf is what the drugstore company does. So criticism about lack of product on the shelf should be directed to the drug store company, not GUMM

If there is a POS display, GUMM is paying for the advertising and is engaging in some sort of coop venture with the retailer. Any good distribution company makes sure that their product is on the shelves so that they get their money's worth in advertising when they engage in this sort of thing. If they don't, they are throwing money away, which is exactly what happened in my tiny corner of the universe.
