I can read, Selectric. Have you read the mess of Florida election law, which allows requesting recounts in specific counties only, and leaves the counting procedures up the canvassing boards? A statewide recount could have been ordered only if both candidates agreed. Gore offered; Bush declined. Is there any person on this board who thinks that if Bush had been down by 300 votes after the automatic recount, a manual recount wouldn't have been done?
