Why do you attach so much significance to that ? Perhaps you do not understand what that analyst meant by "Intel's worst 4th quarter in 10 years". If a company does quarter over quarter (Q3 to Q4) revenue of 8% to 10% for 9 years and in the 10th year grows 5%, then by their defination, that quarter in the 10th years becomes their worst quarter. AMD earning in last 4 quarters are : 23c, 57c, 61c, 64c (according to Yahoo). Do you realise that by their defination, if AMD earns 67c or less, then it becomes their worst quarter in a year by their defination. Face it, dude, our Jan options are history )-: Maui.
