On the other hand the slowdown frees up more capacity for Intel to divert P3 wafer starts to the P4, accelerating the transition to the P4. So it could hurt AMD more than you think. So far Intel has carefully avoided pushing P4, careful not to stimulate more demand than it can deliver. But that can change pretty soon.

We will all have to see how it will play out.
