Let's just say that this is not the optimal way to manage the distribution channel.
So, it is your considered opinion that this is what the company has purposefully done from your vast investigation of the facts.
If you are going to speculate, that's fine, but don't pass it off as investing.
So, Mark, you are the arbiter of what is investing? Who made you that? I happen to believe that you are wrong. Investing, in my opinion, is a prudent balance of a diversified portfolio which may well include an aggressive investment yes, even speculative, otherwise inappropriate for someone else. Your requirement of earnings before ownership is fine self imposed, just don't try to write the rules for others.
I couldn't care less if you short this stock. But, by your own definition, that isn't investing either. You can't have it both ways Mark.
I guess I missed the TOU item that says you have to have a stake in a company before participating in the discussion.
It would just be nice if there were something in your messages that suggested even a hint of open mindedness. Too much to ask perhaps.
If there is a POS display, GUMM is paying for the advertising and is engaging in some sort of coop venture with the retailer. Any good distribution company makes sure that their product is on the shelves so that they get their money's worth in advertising when they engage in this sort of thing.
Case in point...You don't know that it is a coop with GUMM and the retailer...that is your opinion as is your definition of a good distribution company. I don't think you have a clue of GUMM's distribution system and until you do, your opinion is not worth much. |
