Monty, that is not the path to happiness.

Let me respectfully respond that you reprinted an outlook that does not work for me. It easy for me to see Christ in many people. Much has been given to me--this vision is the greatest. The person who wrote that soliloquy appears to be wounded, maybe even bitter. Let me recommend reading "The Hiding Place" by Corrie Ten Boom. It is available at Amazon.com. Take a look at a few of the 80 reader reviews there. This is a life-changing gift.

After years of work in homeless shelters, it is so easy to see Christ in the homeless, in the drug addicts, in the people with AIDS, in many of those who are dying--it is such a privilege to be permitted to help a little. Mother Theresa was once quoted as saying that it is only when we have nothing that we can realize that we need nothing but God. Also, that what matters is not how much we give to others, but how much love we put into the giving. So much love has been given to me by others in my community--especially my family and wife. As the years pass by, it becomes easier to believe that "in dying to myself I find life."

Please forgive me if this comes across as arrogant. I am still weak and frail. No better or worse than anybody else. There is so much that I do not know, but some things are emerging from years of mystery and I need to post this.
