Frank, you are among the countless people who have bought into the Bush-BS that judging intent of the voter by examining a ballot is impossible. I have to absolutely laugh. It is very easy to see if proper standards are applied. It is not rocket science and nothing new in our history or our contest laws. Think, man, why would there be laws enacted for counting manually as a last resort if it was that difficult? Are all elected officials stupid? Did you know that there have been many candidates in close elections in the past who won because of manual recounts, including a Massachusetts Republican who defeated a Democrat on a manual recount of hanging chads (with James Baker's full endorsement)? Can't you guys see your logic is downright idiotic? Geese, man, it's nothing new. Where you been?
