Funnily enough, I never got into National Geographic. I did love to look at atlases, and occasionally I read books about countries that were not purely historical. For example, I had a book about India by Lowell Thomas that I found fascinating. Sometimes I encountered a batch of NGs, and would look through them, but no one in my family subscribed.
