CB--I like Ray, but I have to agree with you. I originally thought that those precincts were "representative" of M-D but Carolyn gave me a link that indicated they were 75-25 Gore precincts. IF so, it would be highly unlikely to gain more votes in the remaining precincts which were actually won by Bush by a slight margin...

HOWEVER, I have two issues:

1. It is still hard to believe that if Gore won those 3 sample precincts by such a large margin that he only got SIX extra votes via the hand count.

2. If 1. above is deemed as whining and that indeed he only got SIX extra votes in a heavy Gore sample, then why did the Bush team fear continuing the count in those remaining precincts that were won by Bush?
