Feel sorry for Intel, who actually tried to implement a more functional operating system down under WinDos.

DSP and realtime standardized functions in the 586 could have made or broken the game at this point in history, but now we just have to plug,pray and wait for another mobile messiah. (us old guys remember the days of make and break, even bipolar relays in telecom, clicking kind of CDMA and FDMA codes, 8-16 and 32 bit variations, lousy memory management and don't lift the hood or test the IRQs)

I wonder how the latest download is going in the kitchen, will it recover from a couple of problems or just crash the whole hard disk and registry, hard stuff to live with?? (nothing like the IOMEGA stuff, champions of "blew it all") |
