why DSL is better than Cable

The URL that I posted was a T.V. ad promoting DSL. Some of the reasons that some people prefer DSL have to do with lack of "sharing" a connection with the neighbors. One complaint that I've heard is that with some cable connections you may have a teenager next door who is downloading music or movies, and your neighbors may be "sharing" your cable bandwidth...which makes your connection slower.

In the Bay Area "suburbs" there are quite a few locations that do not offer either DSL or cable connections. IMO the customer demand is there...but the services are not yet available.

I'm not the right person to answer your question...there are others more qualified to answer this question. I have DSL...and I've been happy with the service! (DSL was available first in my area...and I don't think cable is an option yet in this area.)
