Ok, Alan HERE IS THE PUNCHLINE as you call it and why GORE should win based on your collective beliefs.

What I am trying to point out is the hypocrisy of the viewpoints here. I honestly believe that most of you feel like Michael does when he says (see below) "No, do not count the votes of voters not following the rules"

OK, then, I can accept that however, then you must accept the throwing out of the absentee ballots that were illegally registered in two counties, which throws the election most certainly to Gore.

Remember these were illegally registered absentee ballot registrations which should have resulted in many thousands of Bush voters not even being allowed to vote UNDER LAW!

Sorry, guys, you can't have it both ways. It's not enough to say they deserved to have their votes counted, because they did not follow the rules either.

By law (strengthened by Republican legislature in 1998) these voters should never have been given the right to vote.
